On the Tip of the Toes: 25 years of therapeutic adventures for young people with cancer
………………….
Since 1996, the On the Tip of the Toes Foundation has provided young people with cancer the opportunity to leave the hospital environment and immerse themselves in nature. Supervised by a medical team and therapeutic adventure facilitators, they must take up the challenge of an expedition in an isolated environment, for a period of 4 to 12 days.
The surpassing of their personal limits allows them to regain self-esteem and self-confidence. In addition, they find that they are not alone; other young people their age have been there. They are finally understood. They raise their heads. And they see.
Beyond the horizon.
Together.

Photography is of paramount importance to the On the Tip of the Toes Foundation. It is not without reason that a blogger photographer voluntarily accompanies each of their expeditions. On the one hand, the photos remind young people that their cancer episode was also marked by happy moments, contributing at the same time to keep the therapeutic benefits of the programs alive. On the other hand, they allow the organization to gain notoriety and demonstrate the impact of its work.
Exhibition presented within the framework of the Zoom Photo Festival Saguenay.
