French National University of Social Sciences, the National Foundation of Political Sciences – aka Sciences Po – has created, in 2017, the Political Photography Prize, reserved for amateur photographers, in order to raise awareness of the political and media issues of the photography, both in terms of aesthetics and political significance.
The 2019 edition (the 3rd) was a huge success: 541 photographs were submitted to the jury which awarded 4 prizes. For 10 days, Galerie VU ‘organized and hosted the 2019 Prix de la Photographie Political Prize, which included four award-winning images as well as a selection of photographs noticed by the jury.
Agence VU’
Since its creation in 1986, VU’ discovers, reveals and represents authors-photographers with singular writings: news reporting, long-term investigation, intimate narrative, portrait, conceptual photography…
Major actor of contemporary photography, VU’ promotes, in France and in the world, the photography of author and evolves with constancy and inventiveness thanks to strong ethical and aesthetic biases, without exclusion of style or territory of expression: press, publishing, corporate, advertising and institutional communication, exhibitions at Galerie VU’ and outside the walls, multimedia projects, as well as the sale of prints, special editions, limited edition books, rare books and cultural objects… on site or via its online store. With the organization of meetings, conferences and workshops, VU’ is also a think tank on the evolution of photography. VU’ is finally a team that is committed with passion and rigor.
Exhibition presented within the framework of the Zoom Photo Festival Saguenay.
